Working in the intersection of dance, live art/performance art, theatre and film has enabled me to inhabit the territory that is constantly being pushed and pulled to incorporate the personal history, environmental, social and political issues and concerns, genres and aesthetics, philosophical thought processes and new dance forms.Through researching, rehearsing and performing, I have been able to sustain and flourish as an artist. It’s a tremendous privilege to be able to examine and explore the cross culture, age, identity and gender narratives and transform them into new context to share.
A considered exploration in the multi-dimensions of theatricality, physicality, and philosophy shapes the way I approach a performance project. I am excited by the opportunity to absorb, exchange, collaborate, invent, reimagine and transform memories, sights, sounds and thoughts into a reality.
