Jia-Yu has moved freely between dance and performance art, as a maker and performer, in site specific, film and performance art projects. Her recent works have dealt with the notion of dance and performance art in a wider context, devised through collaboration, using interaction and intervention as means to construct and experiment. These two art forms are a mechanism, utilised to combine artistic perspectives and transcend individual limitations. With this creative model, Jia-Yu aims to explore her history and its connections with the wider world.
